Building Materials Estimator / Sales Rep

We are seeking a customer-focused Estimator/Sales Representative to join our team full-time. In this role, you will work directly with contractors, builders, and homeowners to prepare accurate material lists, generate quotes, and provide product knowledge to support their projects.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a background in construction or building materials and a strong ability to translate blueprints and project information into clear, accurate material takeoffs. This in-person position combines estimating skills with sales and customer service, ensuring our customers receive both the right products and exceptional support.

- Review blueprints, drawings, and project details to prepare accurate material lists for roofing, siding, and other building products.
- Create and deliver quotes and sales proposals based on customer needs.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers, ensuring the right materials are selected.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Assist walk-in and phone-in customers with product selection, pricing, and order processing.
- Stay current with product lines, pricing updates, and industry trends.
- Experience in construction, building materials sales, or estimating (lumberyard/supply yard experience preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints and translate them into material takeoffs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for preparing quotes and tracking orders.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
